Dear Friends,    Sorry to say, heart disease and also arthritis run in my family, so that is a "heads up" mentality after we get to be over 50 years old.  My own father had a stroke, and then a heart attack in his 60's, but he smoked, and probably ate all the wrong things, with a stressful job, etc.  Nevertheless, it's still a 'family curse,' IMHO.   And so, as an amateur actuary, and working in Life Ins., long ago, I think I pretty much know how long I will live on God's green earth, but I am taking it day by day, and so THANKFUL for every morning I wake up.      But the reality is that we all live in a dangerous world, with wars, combat, starvation, drunk drivers, riots, crime, and Democrats!   Sorry, but the Republicans also let us down by selling out to the Socialists as they abandoned, and back stabbed President Trump not too long ago... just like Simon Peter did to the Lord, Jesus in the First Century about 1900 years ago, but I don't want to dri

  Hello Friends, I hope your day is good, too.  I am happy even in my old age of seeing my body slowly age, but thank Father God for every good thing that I have, including a good, fine wife.   I even needed her to come with me early this morning to the local VAMC in Iron Mountain, MI., to a scheduled appointment with a pretty, nice Nurse Practioner, Julie C, who treats me well.  And so all my 'blood work' came out well, and the mature nurse 'Phlebotomist' [someone who draws blood] who was so skilled and polished that I didn't even feel a pinch!!   I  learned to pass up all the younger, pretty girls who are just starting to 'practice' sticking the Veterans as if we were all Guinee pigs, and opt for the mature, experts who know their stuff ! Hello Friends and Readers,    Without tipping my hand or blurting out the wrong words,  I must admit that some facets of the 'China-Covid Virus' were scary for me because I am older with a few health concerns.  Heck, I know that I will die someday and perhaps sooner than later.  Biblical Christians who are diligent in their studies are promised a place in Heaven as Jesus promised in John, Chapter 12, verses 24, 25, etc.  Vs. 25, "He that loveth his life shall lose it:  and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal."  Well, if we have the Holy Spirit in us [as we should] our understanding should then be mature enough to dismiss our fear of death.  So, John 14: 1 says,  "Let not your heart be troubled:   Ye believe in God, believe also in me."
